Well, it's a new semester, and it's brought with it a new set of challenges. After taking a week or two to get back into the swing of classes, I started to work with the Mac OSX Bluetooth framework.
While it's almost definite that our final product will not be designed for a Mac system, it seems possible that we may utilise some Bluetooth peripherals, or other items with propietary code. This exploration will help me understand how to use Bluetooth protocols, and how to integrate precompiled header files and black-box APIs into whatever work we do.
I may also be able to extend Mac OSX compatability into the Wiiuse code library, an open source C library which allows Windows and Linux systems to connect to one or more Nintento Wii Remotes over the Bluetooth protocol. If I am successful, and if we do end up integrating the Wii Remote into our final project, then we could develop our code on any system which met the prerequisites (i.e., a supported Bluetooth stack), and compile for use on another.
