Possible Game

I had an idea for a sort of "situational survival" game that we might want to explore later.

The tabletop would simply be a pond. Every minute or so a new game would begin with a randomized type of enemy or obstacle. Examples include pollution, people, birds, fish, insect larvae, snakes...

Each player would have the choice to either "lay" as many eggs as possible, or to try to protect the tadpoles in some way. After each round, the game would tell them which method was effective against the predator and why (for example -- this may not be accurate -- laying lots of eggs is good against fish, but ineffective against humans who may destroy large numbers accidentally). Pollution would just kill everything, both frogs and eggs, since they can't deal with it. We could use vocal instead of text feedback at this part.

This game can be cooperative, where people don't "register" their method against that particular enemy. This may make the game too easy, but the only limit on the number of players would be the size of the table. This would force us to find a way to differentiate between laying eggs and protecting tadpoles. My current idea is a swipe of a hand would lay eggs, while a finger would create and move a frog that can then be directed towards tadpoles.

The other option is to make the game competitive, where players would choose their method secretly and simultaneously, and one player would win based on the effectiveness of their strategy. This would limit the players, and force us to find a way to tell each player apart.
